Active for Autism - Sunday, October 18th

2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Active for Autism, our signature fundraising event. To mark this milestone, ASNL is launching a province-wide campaign celebrating 20 years of community support while inviting individuals, families, businesses, schools and municipalities to help build the next 20 years of impact.

Since 2006, Active for Autism has brought people together in support of autistic individuals and their families. What began as a community walk has grown into ASNL's signature fundraising events raising awareness, strengthening community connections, and helping fund programs and supports that make a meaningful difference throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

Guided by the theme "20 Years Active. Moving Forward Together." this year's campaign celebrates the people, partnerships and communities that have shaped Active for Autism while looking ahead and encouraging everyone to get active in a way that is meaningful to them – walk, run, wheel, dance, golf! Together, participants will help create a more inclusive future for Autistics.

Registration for the 20th anniversary of Active for Autism opens July 31, marking the beginning of a province-wide campaign that will continue throughout the summer and fall. In the weeks ahead, ASNL will share ways you can to take part as the campaign builds toward Active for Autism Day on October 18
.
Follow ASNL on social media and visit our website for campaign updates, registration information and new ways to participate as we celebrate 20 years of impact and build the next 20 together.

Embracing Neurodiversity Conference
The Autism Society’s Embracing Neurodiversity Conference brings together Autistics, families, caregivers, educators, policymakers, government representatives, and the community at large for engaging, thought-provoking sessions that deepen understanding and promote meaningful inclusion.

The conference has become a leading provincial platform for sharing progressive practices and amplifying community-informed approaches that support Autistics across their lifespan. Through dialogue, learning, and collaboration, the conference advances a more inclusive and equitable province for all. At the heart of the conference is a commitment to valuing lived experience. Embracing Neurodiversity elevates and centers autistic voices, fostering a safe and welcoming environment that recognizes and celebrates diverse neurotypes.
