Community Events

Monthly family events are designed to be welcoming and inclusive for autistic individuals of all ages and their caregivers. By offering a wide range of activity types and environments, families can choose experiences that best meet their sensory, social, and accessibility needs.

Each ASNL region hosts one family event per month in local community, recreational, entertainment, or outdoor spaces. Activities range from bowling, swimming, and cinemas to parks, science centres, and educational venues, providing variety and consistency throughout the year.

ASNL Family Summer Camp is designed as an inclusive, welcoming experience for individuals of all ages and their caregivers or families. The camp environment supports diverse needs and abilities, fostering belonging, connection, and shared experiences in a safe and supportive setting.

The program is delivered as a two‑night sleep‑away camp with three annual offerings at Max Simms Lions Club Camp in Bishop’s Falls, NL, and one camp hosted in Labrador. This structure provides families with consistent, meaningful opportunities for participation and respite.

Location(s): Max Simms Camp Offered to Eastern, Central and Western community families in 3 separate camps, and for Labrador region, offered to anyone in the Labrador
