Hunt’s Classic Charity Golf Tournament Contributes $800.00 to Autism Society
Individuals at the Gander Golf Club held a 2 day Golf Tournament in Gander August 6th and 7th, 2011 to help raise funds for The Autism Society of NL, South and Central Chapter to assist with ongoing programs. Throughout the 2 day tournament there were several fantastic games of golf played along with a silent auction which had a wide range of items up for grabs. This annual tournament has been running since 2001 and offers something for everyone. The winners of the Hunt’s Classic Cup this year were Raymond Mason and Paul Reid with scores of 71 on day one and 76 on day two, for a total of 147! The Autism Society would like to take this opportunity to thank all the individuals who played and support this tournament. We would also like to thank the businesses who supported us; Molson Canada, The Gander Golf Club, Pizza Delight, TD Financial Services, Bistro on Roe, Canadian Tire, Stagg Signs, Grant’s Sportswear, KFC, Subway, Gander Digital Photo, and Louis-Gees Pizza & Donair. Without support from these businesses and community members this event would not be a success. If you are interested in getting involved in the Hunt’s Classic Charity Golf Tournament next year please contact Kimberly-Ann McDonald, Regional Program Coordinator, ASNL South and Central Chapter at info@asnl.ca. The Autism Society of NL, South and Central Chapter is a provincial, nonprofit, charitable organization dedicated to fostering, lifelong, community-based supports and services. This includes acceptance, independence, productivity, and opportunities for inclusion in all facets of life for persons with autism spectrum disorder and their families.
